Induction Programme

Induction Programme for Capacity Building for Service Providers Scheme held on 1st July, 2008, funded by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

Ranjita Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology,  under the C. V. Raman Banner has added another feather to its cap by bagging the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology affiliation to run  the 3 yrs B.Sc in Tourism and Hospitality Administration Programme with a total intake of 132 students each year. Apart from the 3 yrs Degree course, various short term Courses like Post Graduate Diploma in Accommodation Operation, Diploma in Food Production & Patisserie and Certificate course in Steward Training Programme are also being offered to students with basic education like 10th & 12th by NCHM&CT.
 NCHM&CT has also awarded to RIHC to run the Capacity Building for service providers scheme for unemployed youth to enable them to provide their services to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, post training for 6 months in the Cookery, Stewards and 3 months in the House-Keeping area. This course is a free training programme, funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India which enables Service Providers in the Hotel Industry without any formal training to gain a passport to further their career in this industry.
This course was formally inaugurated on the 1st of July’2008 with an overwhelming response. RIHC has always been striving to achieve the best for its students. It is for certainty that with this new affiliation and its tie-up with Algonquin College, Canada, which is shortly going to offer through RIHC, innovative courses like Bartending, Chef Culinary skills and Ethnitician courses of a short duration to candidates  interested in getting Foreign Degrees in India, which makes it a lot cheaper to do so.
We can only say RIHC is making our state proud!!! As reported in the Times of India and Indian Express Bhubaneswar edition in the month of July 2008
